The 2020 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) mandated that PFAS blood testing be offered to eligible DoD firefighters (military and civilian) within the DoD beginning 1 October 2020. Recently, the DoD Inspector General (IG) reported the DoD had no intention of tracking, trending, or analyzing PFAS levels among DoD firefighters. Sensing this was going to be an issue when the 2020 NDAA was passed, AFSO21 LLC took the initiative to survey PFAS levels among DoD firefighters anonymously in order to show DoD firefighters just how much they have been and continue to be exposed to toxic PFAS.
All data in the following survey is submitted anonymously. AFSO21 LLC does not request or collect any Personal Identifiable Information (PII).
Survey results will be updated weekly and displayed below. The data reflects survey entries with "detectable levels". Results will continue to be shared with Congress during legislative discussions and hearings involving PFAS exposure.
